Learn from Other’s Mistakes

Most of the people don’t learn from the other’s mistakes. In my opinion, it’s better from the beginning let one make a mistake to see what the result is… Especially, that works with children! That does not depend on them, it’s people’s psychology! People always lie! That is the reason why people rather want to make mistakes themselves than to listen to others. They lie to themselves. I would like to tell my own bad experience like an example.
From the childhood, my dream was – to drive a car! So, my father saw that and used to teach me everything that he knew. One of the things, which he taught me, was how to behave on the road; it was to drive very carefully the first 10-15 minutes after the rain started. So, I knew that he was right, and that was a fact which you would get with experience, which my father had, but I didn’t. I told everybody who I knew, that you should drive more carefully at the beginning of the rain. However, one night I was in hurry, and was driving to a meeting when suddenly rain started. I didn’t pay attention to that and continued driving fast, and at the next turn I just turned like I do every day, but… My car got out of a control and I just couldn’t do anything. I hit the other car. That was my first (and last, yet) accident and I couldn’t believe that my mistake was exactly what my father warned about, every time.
At the end I’ll give my own proverb – “Nobody can teach better than the life.”
